Albanese: Trump’s comments on targeting Iran ‘inappropriate’

Australia has joined several countries in welcoming the two-week ceasefire deal between the US and Iran.

Anthony Albanese has described the development as positive, and is hopeful it would lead to a permanent end to fighting and the global economic damage.

But in a rare moment of criticism, Anthony Albanese condemned Donald Trump’s warnings to target infrastructure, calling them “extraordinary” and “inappropriate”.

The pause in fighting is also expected to bring much-awaited relief to high fuel prices, but Australians are being warned that won’t come right away.
