Nationals Leader Matt Canavan blasts Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s address to the nation as a “melange of mixed messages”.
“I’m not sure this will reassure people, this short address to the nation had the hallmark of every other government statement about this crisis,” Mr Canavan told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“It’s a melange of mixed messages, and the hint of the fact that the government is not quite being up front; they’re not giving it to you straight.”
