America has paused to mark 25 years since the 9/11 terror attacks, an event that changed the fabric of the nation.
All of the living former US Presidents joined thousands of other mourners during a solemn service at Ground Zero in New York City.
It began with a moment’s silence to remember the shocking moment the first plane struck the World Trade Center’s North Tower.
