Animal Hospital Issues Urgent Callout For Dog Blood Donations | 10 News+

An animal hospital in Sydney has put out an urgent callout for blood donations from pet dogs.
Veterinarians say there is a shortage of blood, which is needed for transfusions to treat dogs suffering from massive trauma, blood loss from surgeries, immune and infectious diseases, and if they are poisoned by rat bait. To donate blood, dogs must be heavier than 25 kilograms, and their blood types must match the dog in need.
