Bihar Floods LIVE: Ganga, Kosi & Gandak Rivers Put Bihar on High Alert After Nepal Floods
Torrential rains have triggered severe flooding across low-lying areas of Bihar, with the Ganga and Kosi rivers rising above the danger mark in Katihar. Residents in three village councils have been forced to move to safer areas, while villagers struggle to access essential supplies, including cooking gas. Neighbouring Uttar Pradesh is also facing flood-like conditions after rivers breached embankments.
More than 22 lakh people across 12 districts of Bihar have been affected by the floods, prompting authorities to step up rescue and relief operations.
