Bizarre revelations emerge about the secret plot that sparked the Iran war

Sky News host Andrew Bolt examines fresh reports detailing an alleged Israeli plan to topple Iran’s regime.

“This bizarre war started even more bizarrely,” Mr Bolt said.

“With an Israeli plot that was first reported in broad terms a month ago, but has in the past 24 hours been fleshed out in lurid detail by both The New York Times and, in Israel, by the Haaretz newspaper

“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu got a bit arrogant with Israel’s battlefield success. Suddenly thought he could even topple the Iranian terrorist regime and replace the religious extremists under Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.

“Many of Netanyahu’s top military and security officials thought this plan called Operation Puss in Boots was crazy. Could never work.

“But if this really is the kind of wishful thinking that started this war, no wonder it’s turned out so very differently to what Netanyahu and Trump had hoped.”
