Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan have already met each other three times this year, agreeing to boost the energy and defence partnership. The reports of UAE’s interest in buying combat-tested Indian weapons comes after the Iran war, where US-made THAAD and Patriot air defence systems were unable to defend UAE from Iranian attacks.
