Deakin University Global Islamic Politics Chair Professor Greg Barton claims the relationship between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is at “breaking point”.
“Prime Minister Netanyahu has invested a lot in stroking Donald Trump’s ego, but I do think that relationship is heading towards breaking point, if not there already,” Mr Barton told Sky News host Steve Price.
“President Trump has a long history of relationships that have gone sour. If people betray him, if he feels let down, he will turn on people.
“He sees Netanyahu as serving his own interests, and he’s not too impressed by that.”
