In 2024, Australia recorded its worst road fatality figures in more than a decade. An extensive new report commissioned by the federal government shows that the one contributing factor common to accidents, injuries and deaths on the road is speed.
Now, experts are calling for a reduction in speed limits, especially the default 100km/hr limit on roads outside build-up areas.
