Chances of US intervention in Iran ‘dramatically’ increase if talks collapse

The Australian Columnist Tom Switzer weighs in on the growing military threat posed by the United States toward Iran.

“If Washington’s core demand remains what it’s traditionally been, that is that Iran does not develop a nuclear weapon, that, in principle, a negotiated settlement should be achievable,” Mr Switzer told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“If the US demands a shift towards more maximalist conditions … then the chances of a deal drop dramatically.

“That would increase the prospects of US intervention again.”
