City Beach’s 22-storey tower sparks local fury | 7NEWS

A 22-storey luxury apartment tower called Ocean Grand is being developed at City Beach, set to become the tallest building along Western Australia’s coastline. The $720 million project will feature 264 apartments priced between $2 million and $39 million, with developer Blackburn already pre-selling 57 units for $200 million. Local residents and the Town of Cambridge council oppose the development, citing concerns about its disproportionate height and reduced ground-floor community facilities, including a tavern downsized from 1,000 to 400 square metres.
