The water in Venice’s Grand Canal was turned bright green on Saturday by Extinction Rebellion activists protesting environmental policies.
According to the group, Greta Thunberg attended the protest, held as the COP30 climate summit drew to a close in Brazil.
“We are symbolically turning waters green because this is the world current climate policies are dragging us toward,” Extinction Rebellion said in a statement.
The canal has been targeted by environmental activists during previous COP summits.
