Colombia Condemns US ‘Anti-Drug’ Strikes | 10 News

Colombia has condemned a series of deadly US airstrikes on alleged drug-smuggling boats in the Caribbean and Pacific, calling them “murder” and a violation of international law.

It follows US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth confirming a new night-time strike that killed six suspected “narco-terrorists” allegedly linked to the Tren de Aragua gang.

At least nine attacks since September have reportedly killed 37 people, with Washington framing the campaign as part of President Donald Trump’s counter-drug offensive.

Critics, including Colombian President Gustavo Petro, warn the operations are illegal and risk escalating regional tensions.

Trump has vowed to expand the strikes to land targets, saying smugglers “haven’t experienced that yet.”
