‘Costs a massive amount more’: Labor’s green dream turning into a nightmare

CIS Director of Energy Research Aidan Morrison details how the Albanese government’s green dream is turning into a nightmare.

“The initial plan is done with just a concept, they’ll say, ‘oh, a simple transmission line here, how hard can it be?’ … then a few years later, when they’ve done what I call the ‘colouring in’ … you end up with something, that’s in this case, about eight times the cost,” Mr Morrison told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“Bigger and more and faster renewable energy at every turn, and it turns out, when it comes around to delivering it, it costs a massive amount more.”
