The storm system Narelle has been downgraded to a tropical low as it continues tracking south over coastal Western Australia. It crossed the coastline as a Category Three Cyclone between the communities of Coral Bay and Cape Cuvier, bringing wind gusts of over 205 kilometres per hour.
Narelle is expected to continue tracking southeast across inland Western Australia, bringing heavy rain and high winds, but its strength is expected to ease further. Andrew Chounding has the latest from Carnarvon in Western Australia.
