A deadly head-on train collision near Peru’s Machu Picchu has killed one train driver and injured approximately 40 passengers, with at least 20 in serious condition. The crash occurred on a narrow track in the Cusco region, with international tourists among the injured, including five Australians. The railway serves as the main access point to the ancient Inca citadel, which attracts over a million visitors annually.
