An inmate who was meant to become the first woman to be executed in Tennessee in 200 years is still alive after two doses of lethal injection.
Her legal team has said she is still alive more than an hour after the execution drug was administered, with witnesses claiming “nothing we saw was normal” and “began to loudly snore”.
Prison officials have yet to speak, and no time of death has been confirmed.
