A car explosion near New Delhi’s historic Red Fort in India has killed eight people and injured at least 19 others, according to local authorities.
India’s home affairs minister Amit Shah told local media a Hyundai i20 car exploded near a traffic signal. The owner of the vehicle involved has been arrested.
The cause of the blast remains unclear, with police continuing their investigation.
