Higher petrol prices may have sparked an interest in electric vehicles, after sales reached a milestone in Australia.
Almost 16,000 battery electric vehicles were sold in Australia in March, making up 14.6 per cent of total sales.
This was up from 7.5 per cent of sales the previous year.
