Estonia has called for urgent consultations with its NATO allies after accusing Russia of an ‘unprecedentedly brazen’ incursion.
It said three fighter jets entered Estonian airspace over the Gulf of Finland and stayed for 12 minutes before they were forced to withdraw.
It’s the latest test for NATO, coming just over a week after Russian drones were intercepted over Poland and Romania.
Russia’s Defence Ministry denied any violation, saying the planes flew over neutral waters.
