Ex-COVID Czar: Potential Plague Case Raises ‘Red Flags’

The White House is monitoring a suspected Russian pneumonic plague incident that has forced close to 200 people under medical observation. Former White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha raised alarms over the suspicious scale of the response, telling Erin Burnett that “200 people under quarantine… is not what you would expect from a simple lab accident.” Pointing to Russia’s alleged biological weapons program, Jha warned that “we have to assume that there is something more going on than what we’re seeing.”
