Strategic Analysis Australian Director Michael Shoebridge speaks on the Albanese Government’s support in co-signing a statement to express support for freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
“We know that the very powerful American Navy can’t open the Strait, so a ragtag group of European and Australian navies won’t be able to,” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News host James Macpherson.
“A sternly worded letter is not going to change things during a war.
“This is some planning by a bunch of multinational groups to have a supervisory naval force if and when there’s a ceasefire.”
