The X2 roller coaster at Six Flags in California has been closed since July after it landed two women in hospital with severe brain injuries that are typically seen after high-speed car crashes.
The doctors put it down to the traumatic acceleration and deceleration on the X2 causing the brain to twist and slam inside the skull.
