Yemen’s Houthi rebels say they launched a hypersonic ballistic missile, dubbed “Palestine 2”, at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in support of Palestinians in Gaza. The Israeli military claims it intercepted the missile mid-air. Since the Gaza war began in October 2023, the Iran-backed Houthis have repeatedly targeted Israel, triggering retaliatory strikes on rebel bases in Yemen. Meanwhile, US Attorney General Pam Bondi has ordered grand jury proceedings over claims tied to the Trump-Russia probe, or “Russiagate.” This comes after a report by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard accused the Obama administration of politically targeting Donald Trump. The grand jury will assess whether there’s enough evidence for an indictment.
