FBI NBA Arrests: What Are Chauncey Billups And Terry Rozier Accused Of Doing? | 10 News

NBA Hall of Famer and current Portland Trailblazers Head Coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat point guard Terry Rozier have been arrested by the FBI as a part of a federal investigation into the league, gambling and organised crime.

Rozier is accused of being an insider who provided non-public information about other NBA players and how they would perform to criminal partners, who in turn used this information to place bets.

In March 2023, Rozier is believed to have told these associates beforehand that he would leave a game through a supposed injury, which was then used by the criminal partners to bet on Rozier not reaching statistical targets for the game.

Billups has been charged in a separate case, accused of helping to rig poker games against unknowing participants who believed they would be playing against a celebrity.

It is believed that sophisticated technology such as x-ray tables were used to assist in rigging the games.

That scheme also allegedly involves multiple prominent New York organised crime families.
