Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell discusses the possibility of new taxes in terms of changes to the capital gains tax discount and negative gearing.
“When it comes to possible changes in the May budget on the capital gains tax discount and/or negative gearing, it’s the understanding of Sky News that the proposals being considered would be grandfathered,” he said.
“They will not affect those who currently own investment properties is what I’m hearing.
“Anyway, no decisions have been made, but the Prime Minister is inclined to adopt one or more of these proposals.”
