The first funeral of one of the 15 victims of Sunday’s terror attack has taken place in Bondi at a Jewish community centre. Hundreds of people gathered to farewell 41-year old Rabbi Eli Schlanger, a married father of five. His murder described as a massive loss for the Jewish nation.

The funeral taking place as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese faced damning criticism from former Coalition Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, who is Jewish, that the government had not done enough to combat anti-semitism.
