Flint Dibble: Göbekli Tepe was not the first evidence of monumental architecture

During a recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Graham Hancock made unproven claims that Göbekli Tepe in Turkey was proof of a transfer of technology from the survivors of a lost civilisation. The truth, however, says Dibble, is far more interesting – archeologists had already uncovered monumental architecture in the region at sites such as Jericho in modern Israel. Reality, it seems, is far more interesting than a myth.
