This is the moment a helicopter rescued Molly, a border collie, who was lost in the New Zealand wilderness for a week.
Last week, an emergency rescue helicopter found Molly’s owner with bruises and lacerations after a fall at a rocky spot at the waterfall on the South Island’s West Coast. Rescuers were forced to evacuate the badly hurt woman without her dog, which couldn’t be found.
Strangers raised thousands of dollars to help fund advanced equipment and helicopter search efforts, which led to Molly’s rescue and reunion with her owner.
