Australia Post has released dashcam footage showing pet dogs attacking and chasing postal workers as they attempt to deliver parcels.

On average, 46 postal workers a week deal with dog-related incidents, averaging nine incidents a day. Posties end up in hospital with dog bites and then have to deal with the lasting psychological effects from the traumatic events; they now carry citronella spray to deter aggressive dogs, but sometimes there is not enough time to use them before the animals attack.
Australia Post is urging dog owners to lock up their dogs if they are expecting a delivery and say they will stop deliveries to a property or street if there is a dangerous dog
