From Bahrain Close Calls To Cyprus Terror: IRGC Drags Britain Into Khamenei’s Fiery Reckoning

Britain has disclosed it was pulled closer to the frontline of Iran’s retaliatory campaign after Defence Secretary John Healey said at least two Iranian missiles were fired in the direction of Cyprus, home to UK military bases, though London believes the bases were not the intended target. Healey said the incident underlined what he called the “indiscriminate” nature of Iran’s retaliation and revealed that around 300 UK personnel in Bahrain were stationed within several hundred yards of where missiles struck. He also outlined Britain’s defensive posture, saying RAF aircraft operating from Qatar and Cyprus are tasked with protecting those areas and can intercept missiles or drones seen heading toward other countries as part of coordinated regional air-defence efforts.
