Gavin Newsom makes awkward and offensive comments to African Americans during interview

California Governor Gavin Newsom has made a series of extremely awkward remarks while trying to endear himself to a room with many African Americans.

The interview where he made the statements was part of his book tour, ‘Young Man in a Hurry: A Memoir of Discovery,’ in Atlanta.

The California governor looks to be one of the possible Democratic contenders for the 2028 presidential race.

As Newsom’s White House aspirations become more apparent, he is being seen more frequently outside California, such as at the Munich Security Conference and the World Economic Forum in Davos.

In this Georgia outing, the California governor seemingly inferred he was “just like” and “no better” than the African American audience members, boasting about his low SAT scores.

The offensive remarks continued when Newsom once again tried to endear himself to the crowd by saying he “cannot read a speech”.
