Much of the country’s east coast has today, endured scorching temperatures.
And with it – dangerous fire conditions.
A fast and devastating blaze took hold of a New South Wales coastal community, where at least 12 homes have been destroyed.
Multiple fires are also burning across the country, some forcing people to evacuate.
