India has summoned Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in New Delhi and lodged a strong protest over a collision involving Pakistani and Indian naval units in international waters. The Ministry of External Affairs described the conduct of the Pakistani naval unit as “unacceptable and unprofessional”. India said the incident caused no major damage and called for military units from both sides to exercise due care and follow relevant bilateral agreements.
