An Indian pharmaceutical company has been hit by a Russian drone strike in Ukraine for the second time.
Kusum Healthcare says one employee was killed and several others were injured after its manufacturing facility in Sumy was severely damaged. The company estimates the latest damage at more than $50 million, or over Rs 400 crore.
Kusum says its Ukrainian warehouse was also destroyed in a Russian drone strike in April 2025, causing losses of more than Rs 250 crore. The company has questioned the lack of response from the Government of India and says it had sought diplomatic intervention.
The latest attack comes as Russia and Ukraine escalate long-range strikes on infrastructure, military targets and energy facilities. Russia has vowed to intensify attacks across Ukraine, while Kyiv says it will step up strikes on Russian oil refineries.
