Inside Afghanistan: millions facing emergency food shortages | BBC News

Afghanistan is facing one of the word’s most severe hunger crises, a situation made worse by cuts in aid, the policies of the Taliban government and drought.

Three out of four afghans struggle to find food, work and healthcare. Emergency levels of hunger affect almost 5 million people, meaning they are one step away from famine.

It is difficult for foreign journalists to get access to Afghanistan but a BBC team has travelled to Ghor province and witnesses the crisis there.

Clive Myrie presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Yogita Limaye.
