Tensions in the Middle East have flared again after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for targeting an American military base following fresh U.S. strikes on southern Iran. The U.S. military earlier said it intercepted Iranian drones over the Strait of Hormuz and carried out strikes near Bandar Abbas, one of Iran’s most strategic port cities. Kuwait also reported intercepting missile and drone threats, raising fears that the fragile ceasefire between Washington and Tehran may be collapsing.
