Iranian Ambassador Expelled Over Iran Directed Anti-Semitic Attacks In Australia | 10 News

Foreign Minister Penny Wong has confirmed the Iranian ambassador to Australia has been expelled after an ASIO investigation concluded the Iran Revolutionary guard Corps orchestrated two anti-semitic attacks on Australian soil.

Ambassador Ahmad Sadeghi and three other officials have been asked to leave Australia within seven days.

It marks the first time in the post-war period that Australia has expelled an ambassador.

Smartraveller has advised Australians to not travel to Iran and stated Australian officials from the Australian Embassy in Tehran and their dependants have been directed to depart the country.
