Israel to reopen Rafah crossing for limited aid as tensions with Iran ease

Israel says it will reopen the Rafah crossing to allow a gradual flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

The crossing had been closed following missile attacks on Israel by Iran the previous day, a move that drew criticism from humanitarian organisations.

The announcement comes as Israeli authorities say they have paused further retaliatory strikes against Iran.

It remains unclear whether additional border crossings will also be reopened.
