Israel’s president is giving opposition candidate Gadi Eisenkot the first chance to form the country’s next government, almost two weeks since the deadlocked election.
It’s another blow for the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who continues to claim the poll was stolen by Arab-Israeli parties, and demand Mr Eisenkot work with him in a unity government.
