The head chef of an Italian restaurant in Brisbane has lost his job after refusing to put pineapple on pizza for a function.
Davide Tamburella has taken the matter to Fair Work on the grounds of unfair dismissal, arguing that putting pineapple on pizza was “an insult to his culture”.
