Jayden makes AFL history for Vietnamese community

19-year-old Jayden Nguyen made history earlier this month when he made his debut against Sydney. He’s been named in the starting line-up for Essendon in tonight’s clash with St Kilda at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium.

While AFL isn’t widely popular within the Vietnamese community, Nguyen believes greater visibility of Asian players in the league could start to change that.
