JD Vance LIVE: ‘I Find Them…’: JD Vance Clears Air On Whether Iran Snubbed Him During Talks

Did U.S. Vice President JD Vance get snubbed on the world stage?Viral visuals from the high-stakes U.S.-Iran talks in Switzerland sparked a storm online after Vance appeared to be ignored by Qatar’s Prime Minister and left standing awkwardly as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi greeted Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The clips quickly fueled claims that America’s top negotiator had been sidelined during one of the most important diplomatic meetings of Donald Trump’s second term. Now, the White House is pushing back hard.

Vice President JD Vance described his Iranian counterparts as “extremely confusing” negotiators as he departed technical talks in Switzerland. “I’ve spent a lot of time dealing with the Iranians over the last few months. Sometimes I find them extremely confusing as negotiators,” Vance told reporters when asked about Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi at one point not shaking his hand. “I would just encourage the media, mistrust a little bit what you see coming out of Iranian social media. They can be confusing negotiators, but we feel like we’re making progress.”
