The man charged with murdering five-year-old Kumanjayi Little Baby has had his case mentioned in court for the first time.

It was a chaotic morning in the Alice Springs local court, with Jefferson Lewis excused from appearing and a public livestream canned at the last minute.

The 47-year-old is charged with one count of murder and two other charges which can’t be disclosed for legal reasons.
