Democrat Senator John Fetterman has voiced strong support for the Trump administration’s effort to purge fraud from Medicaid.
Fetterman said rooting out abuse in the program is “entirely appropriate” as investigators uncover widespread fraud.
“There was a lot of fraud in Medicaid and now let’s root that out,” Fetterman told Major Garrett on ‘The Takeout’.
Fetterman added that taxpayers should not be forced to fund fraudulent claims within the system.
The remarks came while discussing the work of Dr Mehmet Oz inside the Trump administration.
