Ten confirmed in May this year that the 2027 season of the reality TV show would not be going ahead.
During an appearance on the Something to Talk About podcast, Julia revealed that “In the jungle, we worked 17-hour days for 31 days in a row.”
“[That’s] how we had to roll it out as a pre-recorded show. I just couldn’t see how the numbers were sustainable.”
The comedian explained that it was a “massive show” to produce, and said that “500 crew” worked on it.
The cost of celebrities would have also been a large expensive for the network, with each celebrity pulling in tends of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
