A controversial moment from ABC’s Hard Quiz aired twice, featuring an awkward exchange where a contestant associated a character’s Jewish identity with being undesirable, provoking uncomfortable laughter from the audience.
“This is just bonkers,” Mr Hildebrand said.
“What would make that the first word to pop into someone’s head. It just seems strange.”
