Katter threatens journalist over question about his Lebanese heritage

Federal MP Bob Katter appeared to threaten Nine Network journalist Josh Bavas after being asked about his Lebanese heritage.

Katter replied to Bavas’ question by screaming, ‘’Don’t say that! Because that irritates me, and I’ve punched blokes in the mouth for saying that. Don’t you say that!”

He later accused Bavas of being “racist”.

The exchange took place at Katter’s Australian Party press conference, where the MP for Kennedy had earlier said he planned to be “front and centre” at the controversial anti-immigration March for Australia rally in Brisbane.
