Kentucky plane crash leaves at least three dead as locals brace for rising numbers

At least three people were killed and 11 injured after a cargo plane crashed and exploded during takeoff at Louisville International Airport in Kentucky, US.

Video captured the moment the UPS plane – which was carrying thousands of litres of fuel for a long-distance flight to Hawaii – crashed, resulting in a fireball and a thick blanket of smoke over the area.

Local officials say the death toll is expected to rise.
