In 2007, Usman Khawaja was representing the Pakistani team at the Cricket Masala festival when SBS reporter John Baldock spoke to him about his dream to play test cricket for Australia.
“That’d be the best thing in the world,” Khawaja said at the time about the prospect of wearing the baggy green.
Today, he retires from international cricket after 88 Tests as the 15th greatest run-scorer for Australia.
